This safari takes you to some of Uganda’s most popular and scenic national parks, offering a chance to immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the wild. During morning game drives in an open-top safari vehicle with an experienced guide, you can expect to encounter a variety of iconic wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, antelopes, warthogs, hyenas, zebras, giraffes, and many more. On the boat cruises across both parks, you will have the opportunity to spot aquatic animals such as hippos and crocodiles, along with a wide range of waterbirds including the African Fish Eagle, kingfishers, and other species. Throughout your journey, you will be surrounded by breathtaking landscapes that make every drive an unforgettable experience.

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Lake Mburo national park

Depending on your location—either at your hotel in Kampala or at Entebbe International Airport—you will be picked up by your driver-guide for a briefing on your 5-day Uganda wildlife safari. You will then embark on an approximately 4-hour drive to Lake Mburo National Park, with a stop at the Kayabwe Equator for a photo opportunity and a chance to stand in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres simultaneously. The drive continues through scenic savannah grasslands, passing lush banana plantations and herds of long-horned Ankole cattle, characteristic of this region. Upon arrival at the park, you will check in at your lodge for lunch, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at Mburo Safari Lodge.

Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise

Enjoy a restful breakfast and later embark on a morning game drive to capture some of wildlife like the zebras, hippos, crocodiles, elands, antelopes, impalas and a variety of bird species. After you will return to your lodge for lunch and then procced to a 2-hour afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo. During your boat cruise, you will spot wild species like the hippos, crocodiles, elephants, waterbucks, monitor lizards and various bird species.  Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Mburo safari lodge.

Day 3: walking safari and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

After an early morning breakfast, a Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger will meet you for a briefing before guiding you on a walking safari. This is a wonderful opportunity to explore the park on foot, stretching your legs while observing wildlife up close. Lake Mburo National Park is the only park in Uganda offering guided walking safaris, allowing you to experience animals in their natural habitat in a more intimate and engaging way compared to a traditional game drive. After the walking safari, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for further wildlife adventures. Upon arrival, check in at Buffalo Safari Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Game drive and boat cruise

After early morning Breakfast, drive to the Kasenyi plains for morning game drive because its believed to be a home for abundant wildlife, including the predators and the prey, which gives you the best African classic safari experience which engages all your senses with such a beautiful scenery of Rwenzori ranges and crater lakes animals expected to be sighted includes; Buffaloes, elephants, Uganda Kobs, Warthogs, Water bucks, Lions and baboons and varieties of Birds such as grey crown cranes, Southern Red bishop. Drive back to the lodge for warm Lunch, after lunch embark on the afternoon Boat cruise along the Kazinga channel for best of this un-forgettable and memorable experience while on the boat for two hours cruise to lake Edward where you will see local fishermen, this trip highlights are elephants which come down to the banks to drink and swim, several school of Hippopotamuses, Crocodiles basking at the banks and other animals like Buffaloes, water bucks with varieties of water birds such as, Great cormorant, pied kingfisher, African fish eagle etc. Dinner and overnight stay at Buffalo safari lodge.

Day 5: Return to Kampala/ Entebbe

After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and begin your journey out of Queen Elizabeth National Park. While on your exit, we will stop at the Kikorongo Equator Monument, where you can experience standing between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. After the stop, the drive continues to Kampala, with a lunch break along the route. Upon arrival, your driver-guide will drop you off either at your hotel or at Entebbe International Airport for your scheduled flight.
